This Is A Blatant Lie For Starters

Marvin Harrison Jr. might be a little more athletic.

Word of Day: Listless

QB CONTROVERSY Folks, it looks like we might have ourselves a good, old-fashioned quarterback controversy in Columbus.

Teradja Mitchel, Buckeye linebacker has been playing defense for his entire Ohio State career. His ability to move the ball downfield with complete ease suggests that he might be considering a switch to a different position this offseason.

Aye Im coming @CJ7STROUD https://t.co/4MIkL1QcDX

Now usually, a Heisman Trophy frontrunner and incumbent starter wouldn't feel the least bit threatened by someone who hasn't even played the position. Mitchell's tape left Stroud stunned and determined to fight for his job.

Im omw back to the woody right now to train, u throwing that thang not gon front https://t.co/CQDb47g1rU

Columbus has just made life more interesting.

CRY. Y'all aren't going to believe this, but Dabo Swinney found something to complain about in his press conference at ACC Media Days.

After leading his team to its worst season since 2014, Swinney is out here bitching about the criticism he's been getting from his fanbase, suggesting that some folks are calling for him to be fired after Clemson won 10 games last season.
Game tolia

Dabo Swinney

For starters, this obviously isn't true. Think about any other elite coach - Nick Saban or Ryan Day, heck even Jim Harbaugh – going to his preseason conference and making such a statement. Everybody would lose their damn minds.

For shits and giggle though, I decided to look into Swinney's buyout on the off chance that Clemson did decide to fire him last season. It turned out that he would have owed $47.5 million in buyout funds.

Needless to say, the dude's job could not be safer. Buddy needs to stop complaining and coach football.

TRANSFER WINDOW. The NCAA appears to be opening a specific window for players who wish to enter the NCAA Transfer portal.

Finally, the Council endorsed a concept that would eliminate the blanket rule prohibiting transferring more than once. The concept would also establish transfer portal "entry windows," which allow student-athletes to notify their school in writing about their transfer in order to be eligible to compete the following academic year.

For winter and spring sports, students could provide written notification of transfer the day after NCAA championship selections in that sport for 60 calendar days. Two separate windows for fall sports would allow for a total of 60 calendar day. The first window would be 45 days beginning the day following championship selection and the second would be from May 1 to May 15. Participants in the Football Bowl Subdivision or Football Championship Subdivision championships will receive reasonable accommodations.

This makes sense and it's what most other sports do in some capacity.

However, we won't see players taking off their jerseys to enter the transfer portal during a game. This makes me a little sad.

RIP TURNOVER CHAIN. Mario Cristobal, the new Miami head coach, is already making sure that The U has less fun next season.

Mario Cristobal, Miami Hurricanes' first-year coach, said Wednesday to the Action Network that the team is dropping the "turnover chains" for the 2022 season.

According to a tweet by the publication, Cristobal stated that "it's not part our culture."

Miami's turnover chain is an oversized 36-inch, 2.5-kilogram, 10-karat gold chain worn by players on the sideline after forcing a turnover. Since the 2017 season's first game, the school has used it.

To be completely clear, I don’t love turnover props. However, I always respected and respected the Turnover Chain as OG.

I don’t believe the "it’s just not part our culture” quote. The turnover chains were arguably the most Miami-related thing that has happened to the team since the Catholics and Convicts days.

SONG OF THE DAY. "Turn My Swag On" by Soulja Boy.

DO NOT STICK TO SPORTS. A strong stench emanating from a newly built apartment, S. Korea, turns out to be human urine in walls... A woman sues her husband for $10,000 after a bad experience... DNA evidence found at the airport from a coffee cup led to an arrest in a murder investigation after 47 years... TVs too good now...
