Vanilla would be so much more fun if they fixed PvP gearing. Having to nolife to get your items through the ranking system is just poor design.

Ranking can be tedious, but it is not something you should feel obliged to do in a progressive itemization server.classic provided players the 1.12 itemization, which was the last (and only op) itteration pvp gear.
in vanilla pvp gear was on par with current raid tier gear.
Unfortunately, the combination of 1.12 pvp and the current minmax mentality of this community makes it extremely unhealthy.
I'm going for casual rank 10-12 and getting the rest from pve.
