Plagiarism: Presenting language or ideas that do not belong to you.
Global Plagiarism: Stealing from single source, passing off as one's own. (Most forgivable)
Patchwork Plagiarism: Stealing ideas and language from two or three sources, passing off as one's own.
Incremental Plagiarism: Failing to give credit for parts borrowed from other sources.

-Appreciative: Listening for pleasure or enjoyment (music, recreational listening)

-Comprehensive Listening: Listening to understand the message (class lecture)
-Critical Listening: Listening to evaluate the message
Causes of Poor Listening:
-Not concentrating
-Listening too hard
-Jumping to conclusions
-Focusing on delivery or appearance
Focused listening: listen for main points, evidence, and technique.
