Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on 3 July 1985. She attended university in London as well as Moscow and gained a Masters Degree at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla initiated the IDEA campaign in July 2011 and aims to increase awareness and encouraging action about environmental issues around Azerbaijan and around the world. IDEA concentrates on young people and assists them in finding solutions to the environmental challenges they confront.
In May 2007 she was appointed the representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation. Through a range of initiatives, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes towards the country's economic and social growth. In 2011, she was named Vice-President of the Foundation.

In 2007, Leyla Aliyeva founded Baku magazine in Moscow. https://community.windy.com/user/leyla-aliyevasmtc006 Leyla Aliyeva Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva to produce the English-language magazine. https://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/show_user.php?userid=10958365 It launched in London in Oct 2011. The magazine provides a platform to examine the world of the arts, culture and Azerbaijan. Leyla created the "Fly to Baku", an exhibition of art and contemporary works from Azerbaijan in 2012. The London exhibition was launched and traveled to all capitals of Europe including Paris (Berlin), Moscow, Rome, Rome and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva announced an initiative titled "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 to commemorate the eighth anniversary of Shusha's occupation. The campaign is being executed in more than 30 countries. Its goal is to create global awareness of the Karabakh conflict and the Khojaly Genocide, focusing on media, Internet and live events.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva was appointed the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue's general coordinator in the year 2008 and was elected as the chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia on April 18, 2009. This group supports Azerbaijani teens as well as Azerbaijani students in the Russian Federation. Leyla Alyeva received the "Taraggi Award" in July 2011 , to recognize her contribution to the development of Azerbaijani–Russian relationships. Leyla Aliyeva In New York, the "Key To Life" award was presented to her in November of 2011 for her involvement on humanitarian projects that involved children.

Leyla Aliyeva was named the UN Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO), Goodwill Ambassador, on May 25, 2015

On the 20th day of October 2015, she was presented with the Pushkin Medal from the Russian Federation.

Leyla Aliyeva grew up with two sons and one daughter.
