Test builds for the Bedrock edition on Android, Xbox One, and Windows 10 are simply called Bedrock betas. While they're not exactly the same as Snapshots but they do contain many new features.

Mojang has made jumping into the early versions of Minecraft pretty easy Here's how you can do it:

Snapshots on Minecraft: Java Edition:

- In the top right corner, look for a box that is called Snapshots

The most up-to-date Snapshot will be available at the bottom of the list of installation options

Beta on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition:

- Visit the Microsoft Store app on Windows 10

- Look for the Xbox Insider app and download it

Start the app and select the Insider Content tab on the left

To keep track of new Snapshots and betas, save the Minecraft forum's news page (opens in a new tab) that has a breakdown of all the versions that have been released.

Snapshots and betas are extremely unstable and your world could fail or get janky. So make sure you load into a world you aren't afraid of being a bit damaged. MINECRAFT JAVA In other words, you should keep your top Minecraft builds (opens in new tab) secure in a different world.

She mainly writes reviews, previews, and features, but on rare occasions will change it up with guides and news. When she's not snapping hundreds of screenshots of the latest indie darling or a new game, you can find her taking care of her parsnip empire in Stardew Valley and planning an axolotl uprising in Minecraft. She's a sucker for'stop and take a sniff of the roses' games, her most memorable gaming moment is the one time she kept her virtual potted plants alive for over a year.
