Burgener would like to force Degen into selling his shares

Bernhard Burgener is suing David Degen in the FC Basel ownership dispute. The Board of Directors supports Burgener's plans. However there is no agreement reached.

The FC Basel Holding AG Board of Directors met Monday early in the morning. Burgener and Degen were joined by Karl Odermatt (and Peter von Buren) on the four-member committee that approved the plan of the previous owner. In a report by the holding firm, he requested Degen to sell his stake at Basel Dream & Vision AG.

Bernhard Burgener Burgener and his team have made a move in the dispute between the owners. Bernhard Burgener Degen is insisting on his first refusal. He is seeking to use this right to 16.4 million Francs. With a super-provisional injunction, the former player has so as of now prevented Burgener from permitted to sell his stake of 80 percent to Basel Dream & Vision AG. Centricus, the British asset manager, would also own a stake. Bernhard Burgener Burgener would still receive the majority vote.
