YouTuber and Minecraft Streamer Technoblade 23, Dies from Cancer

YouTuber and Minecraft streamer Technoblade has passed away at the age of 23 following an extended battle with cancer stage four.



The creator of content from San Francisco who kept his identity a secret until revealing his name in the final video as "Alex" gained fame after posting videos of himself playing Minecraft online in 2013. He then gained more than 10,000,000 subscribers.



He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August. He spent most of the year in a secluded area away from the media receiving chemotherapy.



While it's not clear what kind of cancer Alex was suffering from Alex was diagnosed with, he did raise funds for sarcoma charity and in December, he revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his arm.



In a video that was uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube channel this morning with the title 'So long nerds', his father, whose name is unknown was able to share the sad announcement of his son's death with his many fans and shared a posthumous message of condolence from the renowned YouTube star.

The father of his son called his son "the most amazing child', the father then shared an audio recording of his son, who said"If I could have another hundred lives, I think I'd choose to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the happiest years of my life.'



Technoblade is a YouTuber as well as a Minecraft streamer, has died after an extended battle with cancer. His family has confirmed.



Technoblade was a highly private person who rarely shared his personal information. He mostly posted videos about the Sandbox game Minecraft.



He was blessed with three sisters as well as a brother named Chris and the dog Floof who was in his video of farewell with his father.



In one video, he revealed his parents were divorced and that he lived with his father who owns a movie studio.



After graduating from high school, he sat out an unplanned break before moving to Chicago where he attended college to study English major.

After dropping out after a few days, he returned to San Francisco.



In one of his videos, the man explained how he came up with the Tecnoblade channel for solely the purpose of building confidence and getting 10 million subscribers.



He quickly grew millions of followers by sharing numerous clips of himself playing Minecraft however, he has did not reveal his identity or name to fans.



He revealed the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis in August in a YouTube video called "Where I've been" that has been watched more than 13 million times.



He said he was diagnosed with cancer after he believed he had an injury to his arm.



The content creator (seen at left) who was not revealing his name or even his face prior to when the final video was uploaded was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the year last.



He thought it was a stress-related injury from his playing habits and took a few days off before recognizing it wasn't going to go away.
