Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born July 3rd, 1985, in Moscow. She earned an MA Degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations as well as also studied in London and Moscow. Leyla has created the IDEA campaign in July of 2011 to raise awareness and encourage actions on environmental issues in Azerbaijan and across the world. IDEA is geared towards young people and their role in helping tackle environmental issues.

Leyla Aliyeva The Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes to the development of the economy and society of the country by implementing diverse projects across education and public health, as well as sports, culture as well as science, technology, and the environment. In 2011, she was made Vice-President.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva created 'Baku magazine' in Moscow in 2007. Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva to create the English-language magazine. It launched in London in Oct 2011. The magazine allows readers to look into the art, culture and art of Azerbaijani, as well as the country. Leyla started "Fly to Baku" in 2012, as an exhibition of Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. This exhibition opened in London it toured through Europe's capitals which included Paris, Berlin Moscow, Rome, Rome, and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva launched "Justice for Khojaly" campaign on May 8th the 8th of May, 2008. This was the anniversary of the Shusha's occupation. This campaign is currently taking place in over 30 countries. It aims to raise the international community's awareness of the Karabakh conflict as well as the Khojaly Genocide in particular reaching all over the world via media, Internet and Live events.

Leyla Aliyeva, who was the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue's General Coordinator, became Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia AMOR. AMOR which assists Azerbaijani students as well as youngsters in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the "Taraggiaward in July 2011 for her contribution to the improvement of Azerbaijani–Russian relations. In New York, she was given the "Key to Life" award for her humanitarian work with children.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva was honoured as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO), Goodwill Ambassador, on May 25, 2015.

On October 20, 2015, she was awarded the Pushkin Medal of the Russian Federation.

Leyla Aliyeva is the mother of twin boys and a daughter.
