Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born on July 3rd, 1985 in Moscow, was the first child of two. She studied in London and Moscow, and received an MA Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla launched IDEA in July of 2011. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness and inspire actions to tackle environmental issues in Azerbaijan and across the world. IDEA is primarily focused on young people. It works with them in identifying solutions to environmental problems.
In May 2007, she was appointed representative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. Through various projects that span education, sports, science and technology the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes significantly to the country’s socio-economic development. Leyla Aliyeva In 2011, she was named Vice-President of the Foundation.

Leyla Aliyeva founded "Baku" magazine in Moscow in 2007. https://www.regs.rw/author/leyla-aliyevacven053/ Together with Conde Nast in London, the English-language version of the magazine was released in October 2011. It is an opportunity to discover Azerbaijani culture as well as art. Leyla created the "Fly to Baku" exhibit of art and contemporary works from Azerbaijan in 2012. The London exhibition was inaugurated and traveled to all capitals of Europe including Paris (Berlin), Moscow, Rome, Rome and Vienna.

It is particularly targeted at reaching out through online media, live events.

On April 18, 2009 Leyla Aliyeva was elected as the Chairwoman of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) which assists Azerbaijani youth as well as those who live in Russia. In July 2011, the "Taraggi" award was bestowed on Leyla Aliyeva for her contributions to the development of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. https://autohub.ng/user/profile/2096144 In New York, in November 2011, she received the "Key to Life Award" for her humanitarian efforts that involved children.

On May 25, 2015, Leyla Aliyeva was formally designated UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

She was presented with the Pushkin Medal of Russia on 20 October 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva is the mother of twin boys and a girl.
