Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born on July 3, 1985, in Moscow. She earned a Master's Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and also studied in London and Moscow. Leyla has created the IDEA campaign in July 2011 to raise awareness and encourage the action on environmental issues in Azerbaijan and across the world. IDEA concentrates on children and young people, and work together to find solutions to the environmental problems that we face.
She was elected representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the Russian Federation in May 2007. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is a foundation that aids in the country's economic and social growth. It implements diverse projects related to education, sport, culture technology, and the environment. Leyla Aliyeva She was elected Vice-President in 2011.

Leyla Aliyeva started "Baku" magazine in Moscow in 2007. Leyla Aliyeva launched an initiative titled "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 in celebration of the eighth anniversary of Shusha’s occupation. On the 25th of May, 2015, Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

She was awarded the Pushkin Medal of Russia on 20 October , 2015.
