Minecraft convention company is sorry for Peterborough's event that was a victim of complaints.

After parents who were furious criticized the convention on social media, the organizers of the Minecraft convention said they were "truly sorry".

However, dozens of people claimed to have spent hours waiting to meet famous players and demanded refunds.
O'Brien Event Management said a new system for reducing queues will be implemented in the future.
The unofficial convention, not approved by Minecraft's developer Mojang, gave fans the chance to meet famous "Youtubers", take photographs and play games.
Lisa O'Brien, at O'Brien Event Management, has previously told the BBC that the lines were over 45 minutes due to a large amount of people who showed at the venue rather than buying tickets in advance.
A further statement released on the company's website read: "We are truly genuinely regretful that our event did not meet a few people's expectations.
"MineVention" is primarily an "meet and greet" event. This means that there will be waiting around. But, it offers the children the unique opportunity to meet their heroes.
"We have taken all of your comments about the event on board and, moving forward we will be putting in a new system for queuing and will be adding more content."
The company also released a statement from Peterborough Arena, which was responsible for catering, and also blamed the "sheer number" of people who came through the door on the day of the event for the long queues.
Both parties said that they would respond to any parents who contact them with a complaint.
Refunds are not being discussed, however some parents have claimed that they received the following day after complaining to staff.
Online ticketing firm YPlan stated that it was "actively seeking information from the event's organizer to know their position regarding refunds and will try to compensate all customers who were dissatisfied with the event".
