The US internet celebrity gained fame through livestreaming and posting clips of his playing the videogame sandbox.

In January of this year, Technoblade revealed to fans he had been diagnosed with cancer.

His father read his goodbye message hours before his death. It began with "Hello everyone, Technoblade here." If you're watching this. I am dead."

He went on to reveal that his real name was in fact Alex recalling the time he had pranked viewers into believing that his name was Dave.

He said, "Thank you all so much for your support for my work over the years," he added. "If I had another hundred years of years to live, I believe Technoblade would be my top choice again. Those were the best years of my entire life."

The online star, who won Minecraft tournaments, and had legions of fans talking about his funny antics while playing the game, explained in a February video of a fundraising campaign that he received radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and a limb rescue operation after developing a painful tumor.

He died from sarcoma, which is an uncommon bone and soft tissue cancer.

He revealed his diagnosis of cancer in August 2021, stating that he initially believed that the pain he was experiencing was from an injury to the muscles from repetitive stress due to playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer when his arm became swollen.

Little is known about Technoblade, who kept his real identity secret until the very end. However, his online avatar was a photo of a crown pig.

His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio reads: "I play too many video games. It's possible that I'm not the best but I do have hot elbows."

Technoblade's father thanked his fans in the goodbye video, noting "you really meant a lot to me"

The video ended with a statement written by his family. It stated: "We, Technoblade, wanted to let you know how the much he was loved and respected by his fans and colleagues."

"From Technoblade's very first days on the internet, he was constantly thinking of ways to entertain and reward his fans - giving away online prizes as well as encouraging good sportsmanship and, most importantly, sharing his Minecraft adventures for fun and entertainment.

"Even after his successes he somehow managed to keep his good-natured humour, and compete with a sly balance between confidence and self-deprecating humor."

Minecraft lets users create their very own virtual world by digging holes and collecting blocks.

Recent modifications to the game have been utilized by youngsters to improve their professional skills, as well as to tackle real-world issues like flooding.
