Our biggest mistake is that, for no reason whatsoever, we nearly always assume that we are in complete agreement with the expectations of both sides without trying to discern our partner's mind to figure out what his expectations of us are. One thing that we are completely in agreement with our partner on - he also doesn't miss the chance to increase the gap between expectations. .... Humans can be divided into two distinct groups. There are two types of human beings one of which is the "full circle" type, who is totally self-contained and completely comfortable in their own space. Yes, he does need an accomplice. Absolutely! All true ... But, until he's found his dream partner, he CAN survive without one. He will continue living his life in a relationship with the person he is going to marry once the time comes to find one.

The "half a circle" people on the other side have an accomplice. Once they've found the miserable creature, they won't let go of it. They'll try to live with their victim as if were one of them, and will not let go of the concept of living together. The Halves aren't content with anything less than staring at one another from a distance for the rest. Their desire to merge with their other half and create a whole will only be satisfied by something less intimate.
A fascinating observation of the two types relates to the decision to leave an individual partner. The entire circle would typically let go of a person with whom he has lost their chemistry rapidly. On the other hand half-circle types redefine the meaning of chemistry between two people to mean "I am holding on to this B..ST..RD. until I can replace him with a new upgrade."
Imagine a dance where a half-a-circle and a full circle try to make their partner feel happy. The half is able to move two steps ahead of the comfort zone.
