Today we're bringing you another real-life bit of art, with a bit of animation. GoodSirCompany on Reddit posted a cute video of their first-ever Lego Minecraft stop motion animation. My Games The clip shows a player character in black armour running through the air and battling an uninformed skeleton. It's a neat little piece, and while it has some rough edges, it has an excellent smoothness to the battle.
It's also packed with wonderful little details. One of the most impressive is the fire, which constantly flickers to really help cement the feeling of movement through the mini diorama. There's also an appearance from a suspicious source in the background for the keen-eyed. Who doesn't love a good cameo?
The first attempt of GoodSirCompany at this, there are some helpful comments too. It's evident that shadows in the background are moving, but a good lighting source can help with that. Camera shake is also a possibility when GoodSirCompany presses the shutter button. Slasken06 suggested that the shake could be corrected by using wireless headphones to capture the pictures. You could also try using the remote. If you weren't expecting some stop motion advice from us, think about this as an added bonus.
