Be patient when deciding on your dream that you would like to pursue. You should ensure that it's the right venture for your specific needs. This is among the most important steps to succeed in any venture. It is vital that you're passionate about your vision and believe it will be successful. You believe in the idea behind the idea. This is even more important than the venture you choose. It is possible to make adjustments along the way once you've started the journey. It's better to tweak and correct things early in the course of the project rather than later on when you have invested more money.
Rami Beracha's advice to students at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya is an emulation of his own experiences. When he was a young man Rami was adamant about pursuing a law degree. Though he wasn't sure if this was the right career choice, he pursued his studies in law, obtaining the Master's degree in New York and worked as an intern at an international law firm. After his time in the Wall Street firm, he realized that he was interested about business, more so than law. He quit his job and relocated to France to pursue an MBA.

In 1996, after graduating, Beracha joined the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. It is Israel's largest venture capital investment fund. Pitango is an investment fund that invests in businesses in the early stages of their development, in high-tech core areas. It has over 200 investments and 85 exits. Rami was appointed managing partner in the year 2000. Over the next 18-years Rami negotiated dozens of deals that led to successful exits for large corporations in the Fortune 500 like Broadcom, Marvel and Cisco.
Then he didn't stop there. In 2011, Globes presented Beracha the "Esteemed Partner" award, recognizing him as the influential investor that he had become. Rami started a new initiative named Sosa in 2014. Sosa hosts innovative centers in New York (and Tel Aviv) where they collaborate with global entrepreneurs and assist technologically innovative companies. Sosa was recently chosen to create and run the Cyber Center in New York City.

Rami Beracha's Challenging Past
Rami Beracha
Today, Rami Beracha seems to be a success in almost everything he's done. But his life wasn't always so easy. Beracha became a young man, much as the majority of Israelis. He was later a Paratrooper's Brigade Combat Soldier and participated in the Lebanon War. In 1983, just after the end of the war, Rami was part of the rescue group that was formed to help wounded soldiers who were trapped in a minefield. Rami fell on a hidden mine, and he was unable to walk as well as his hand.

His hospital stay was among the most painful experiences of his life. He couldn't move and was overcome by despair and depression. The dreams of becoming an army officer did not materialize and he lost all sense of his self. Through the pain, Rami was able to find the passion to keep going and make new dreams. He set out to become stronger and more efficient than before his injuries. Rami was determined to test different extreme sports. He now enjoys kitesurfing and snowboarding, and has been on the mountain of Mount Kilimanjaro. He's always looking to get better at his sport and believes that his previous unwounded self is driving him along.

Rami gives donations to and participates in numerous organizations and is passionate about helping young soldiers, just like him, get wounded in combat. In the year 2016 Rami took the group of men who suffered injuries during their army service during a visit to Nepal. He was promoted to the rank of major within both the Israeli paratrooper ranks as well as the fire brigades. The dreams he had as young men had found a way to occur, despite all of the obstacles he had to face. His story and his passion are an inspiration for many. Rami didn't let his injuries stop him from pursuing his goals as he continued learning and trying new things until he was even stronger than before.
