Rami Beracha's Challenge Past
Presently, Rami Beracha seems to be a success in almost every area he's chosen. However, his path wasn't always so easy. Beracha joined army as a young man, much as the majority of Israelis. He became a combat soldier with the Paratrooper's Brigade and fought through the Lebanon War. In 1983, shortly following the end of the war, Rami was part of an emergency rescue team that was sent to help wounded soldiers on a minefield. Rami was unfortunate enough to step on a mine hidden beneath his feet, and suffered a severe injured.

His stay in the hospital was one of his most difficult experiences. He was unable to move, and was overwhelmed with depression and despair. The dreams of becoming an army officer did not materialize and he lost his sense of self. Through the pain, Rami was able to be driven to continue living and create new dreams. He resolved to be stronger and more efficient than before the injuries. Rami experimented with various extreme sports. He has now discovered kitesurfing and snowboarding and has completed a hike on Mount Kilimanjaro. He often feels like his unharmed past is pushing forward, even as the effort to get better.

He has volunteered for numerous organisations and also makes donations. He is enthusiastic about helping young men suffering from injuries sustained in combat. Rami led an army unit that helped wounded soldiers during a journey to Nepal. In the year 2018, Rami was promoted to Major in the Israeli Army's Paratrooper as well as Fire Brigades. In spite of the difficulties he faced, his dreams were realized as a young man. His story and passion provide inspiration to other people. Rami did not let his injuries to hinder his progress.
