MIAMI(CBSMiami), Ukraine war might be on the opposite side of the planet, but South Floridians can assist those who are fleeing.
Many people from the Sunny Isles Jewish communities are actively raising money and helping to coordinate a total humanitarian effort.
"Just last night 1,100 came," said Marsha Jaquays in Florida Friends of Laniado Hospital.
She also revealed that over two millions of Ukrainian refugees are fleeing war-torn Ukraine. Many of them traverse Moldova that borders Ukraine.
"From Moldova, this Jewish community actually assists them in getting over the border line and maybe even giving them food, shelter and even clothes," added Jaquays.
The majority of humanitarian efforts are being led from Sunny Isles, South Florida.
"My place is to organize the maximum amount of resources from American society to assist with the victims of this crisis in Moldova. Emmanuil Grinshpun Emmanuil grinshpun has been involved in the coordinating of the humanitarian efforts, has stated that there is several individuals working in Moldova to help organize camps, food shopping, and bus planning.
Even worse is the fact that Moldova is one of the most deprived countries in the world. But, those who are involved in this cause say that they will never stop helping.
Emmanuil Grinshpun Grinshpun: "When our brothers, sisters and friends from Ukraine were arriving and we were invited, there was no need to think. Instead, we started doing it."
Jaquays are a reflection of the sentiments
