Mojang has launched its Minecraft Realms subscription service in North America, offering hosting and setup for multiplayer Minecraft worlds that start at just $13 a month.
Mojang says that Minecraft Realms is particularly valuable for parents. It makes it simple to create a child's own sandbox world, and limit the number of users invited to use it. The subscription fee also covers an automatic backup feature that allows players to undo unwanted alterations and roll back their worlds to their previous saved state.
Minecraft Realms allows up to 10 players to join at one time. The service will host minigames and other game-related events on a regular basis. Discounts are available to those who sign up for the three- or six-month subscription package. The service is currently limited to the PC version of Minecraft but support for Minecraft: Pocket Edition is planned for a future update. think of [Image: Mojang]
