After that, he went to Ambrose Alli University (AAU) located in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria, where he got an BSc. In Architecture.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his ministry while an undergraduate student at AAU. The Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship was at the time known as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC grew quickly and became the largest college organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy.
