Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was nurtured by a family of faith and was supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children of the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her divine grace on her son at an early age.

After a grant was made to pursue a degree in the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he earned an BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to join the ministry and become an ambassador for the Lord.
