This Minecraft Redstone chicken mini-game is extremely weird. We're not used to seeing Redstone oddities. After all, we've seen MS Paint being recreated in Redstone and even some cool as Ghostbusters theme songs, but it doesn’t typically involve chickens like this.
Minecraft generally protects chickens, unless you're building a factory farm to provide food. We're not really judging you for doing so. There's no denying that chickens are a cute Minecraft mob, and it's natural to enjoy watching them navigate through a maze as part of a game. Oh, how adorable... at least you'd think so.
SGHQ released a video on Reddit called "the machine that makes things happen." We're giving away some of the spoilers in this article because the title clearly calls for mystery, but it's kind of a wild ride. The video begins with the player attaching a leash to the chicken, and locking them. From here, they get on a lift and begin going down, taking the chicken with them.
This is where the mini-game begins intended to keep the chicken alive and prevent it from being smashed or burned while you and the chicken walk across the course. It looks like fun and it's nice to see the first chicken make it to the bottom after such a risky journey. The issue with this device is that even if the chicken does make it to the bottom, there are two arrows fired at the chicken. That's not the victory condition we'd be aiming for here.
It would make sense to give the prize Minecraft diamonds however we would love to see the chicken in action. If you are the type of person who wants to make your chicken immortal then check out how Minecraft forge 1.19 is installed.
