Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a religious family with loving, committed parents. The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It is a leader in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station to broadcast from Africa, 24 hours a day, on free-to air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria as well as South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two healing schools that are located in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music form an integral part in worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry trained choirs.
