Chris Oyakhilome Biography. The man, the educator, mentor and the Philanthropist

Pastor and faith healer, author, and television host, Chris Oyakhilome, known by his followers as Pastor Chris, is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique interpretation of God's Word has enthralled millions across the globe.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a faith-based family and loving parents who were devoted to their children. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her divine grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry involves the whole family. His brother Reverend Ken, is the esteemed Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which houses a variety of top gospel artists in the world.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon is following her father's tradition of sharing God's Word with the World. In addition, she is known as CSO her name, she is a talented, award winning gospel singer and is part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to pursue a degree in the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he received the BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he felt God called him to be an ordained minister to the Lord.

It began with a small prayer group called 'Youth for Christ', that eventually grew into one of the most popular groups of its kind on campus. The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris, the pastor Chris has become the first pioneer of satellite television and Christian television programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa to the the world, 24 hours a day, nonstop on free-to-air networks. In the present, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable television networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. In Canada Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions that allow miraculous healing to occur.

Music and Gospel Music are an important element of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry choir to train. A lot of these singers are successful soloists under Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's guidance.
