The Morning After: Sony Needs Beta Testers For PS5 Software

Here's your chance to try out the latest PlayStation 5 features before everyone else. Sony has opened an open beta program for PS5 software to test what is supposedly a "major upgrade" later in the year. Perhaps we can expand the SSD? Sony will reveal more details regarding upcoming features in the coming weeks.



Signups are limited to PS5 owners located in the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Germany and France, and you need to be at least 18 years old to be eligible to participate. If you're selected, you'll get an email with info on how to download the beta firmware.



Microsoft has been running the Xbox Insider Program for years, and even Sony has been able to tap into its users to help beta test patches for the PS4. This seems to be more of a problem. Sony may need all the testers it can obtain: The PS5 is in its early stages , and the stock may be difficult to come by.

A first-hand experience with Windows 11



Windows 10 meets macOS. After playing around with the (now notorious) Windows 11 leak for several hours, Devindra Hardawar says it's a lot like macOS. This might be down to the virtues of this initial version being a minimalist and even Kondo-ed version Windows 10. To start though, there's a new center-centered Taskbar that behaves the same way as it did since Windows 95, housing the Start menu button along with active apps as well as your choice of shortcuts. Microsoft hires Satya Nadella CEO

Microsoft has appointed Satya Nadella, CEO, as its chair. This marks the first time someone has held both positions since Bill Gates' departure as chief executive in 2000. It's certainly another sign of confidence in a CEO who has helped the company on nearly every aspect: Microsoft is the world's second-most valuable company behind Apple with a market worth of $1.9 trillion. Nadella has also overseen a number of successful acquisitions, including Minecraft, LinkedIn, GitHub and, more recently, gaming giant ZeniMax. Continue reading.



All future Disney+ original series will be released on Wednesdays.



It's great because I'm eager for 'Loki.' It wasn't an anomaly in time. Disney+ will now launch new episodes on Wednesdays. The previous series released the latest episodes on Fridays however it could be that Disney is trying to capture that watercooler vibe, ensuring more people discuss the latest shows before the weekend comes around. Nintendo Switch will launch the free-to-start Pokemon MOBA in July.



Mobile gamers will be waiting until September to play the game 'Pokemon Unite.'



It's time to launch Pokemon Unite. The "free-to-start" MOBA will be released on the Nintendo Switch in July, and will be available on mobile devices in September. The key to success is cross-platform gameplay. It will eventually allow you to compete with your competitors, regardless of what device you use.



Unite isn't for free. You can earn more in-game rewards by completing seasonal battle passes (which cost real money) and also purchase Aeon gems that can help you bring more Pokemon into fights or obtain items for your pocket monsters as well as your trainer. Continue reading.
