WRUP: All DPS Players are Sharks Edition

It's the right time to tell you a truth many MMO players don’t yet know: All DPS players can be considered sharks. You may be wondering why so many DPS seem addicted to the phrase "GOGOGO" because slowing down even a fraction of an instant means they'll end up dying. They're required to keep swimming and killing. This is what MMOs are doing to sharks all over the world. Don't think about how a shark is able to type or play the game; just realize that the rogue who does not wait for the tank or the healer or even the other DPS will do what is happening. He is a shark.

One of the Massively staff members could be a shark, however I'm not able to confirm or deny it. Perhaps they reveal his or his or her status as a shark in this week's WRUP, or perhaps it's just our usual review of our weekend plans as usual. It's not clear until you've read the rest of the article, although you should tell us what you're doing in the comments whatever the case.

@Beau_Hindman - I'm definitely playing more State of Decay. The game is fantastic and is definitely one of my top choices for single player games of the year. For MMORPGs I'm testing the limits of Minecraft's MMO-ness I'll be playing the latest patch of DC Universe Online, and I'll also be experiencing some action in Neverwinter which I think is one of the best-looking and sounding MMOs available right now.

@nbrianna: I returned to World of Warcraft with a group of guildies. I'll be leveling old toons and checking out some Pandaria Dungeons I've never explored. It's going to be entertaining!

@Eliot_Lefebvre: World of Warcraft is currently occupying my side game slot, and though there are many elements in there which I'm not entirely thrilled with, I am enjoying myself. Beyond that, there's going to be more Final Fantasy XIV questing to do and various endgame shenanigans to participate in, which is why that will be my main goal.

@Sypster - I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I'm currently in the pre-launch countdown mode for Lord of the Rings Online Helm's Deep. I'm likely to try a few additional scenarios from The Secret World, and maybe even try some of the World of Warcraft stuff the kids love these days.

@mvmatt: My weekend plans include soup, schoolwork and, if I'm lucky -- some video games. I'll be playing Warhammer Online, to remind myself of the reasons why it was shut down and to reminisce about the amazing things that nearly made me stay until the servers end next month. Beyond that, I would love to return to Guild Wars 2 or The Secret World. I have been neglecting them for a while. Perhaps, just maybe, I can stop some fools on Battlefield 4.

@MikedotFoster: This weekend, I'll be exploring the Three Spirits Dota 2 update. I'll also be playing World of Warcraft; that Warlords of Draenor announcement has me riled again.

@MJ_Guthrie - I plan to concentrate most my gaming time (and there will be some, illness be damned!) I am trying to do more in the war of The Secret World on Filth. I am a sucker for that pet and that bee suit so bad that even though I can't see any way in the world I'll be able to collect enough tokens, I'm determined to do my best! Did I mention I am stubborn? When I'm not working I'll be playing in a handful of scenarios and experimenting with new designs. I will also be playing various races to become my new Channeler in EverQuest II. It's been narrowed down to Ratonga or Kerra. Minecraft Once I have this, I will only require about 30 additional hours to modify the look. The name is only the beginning.

@RichieProcopio This weekend, I'll be intoxicated. No I'm not going to a frat party; I'll be paying the tower of nightmares an appearance in Guild Wars 2 and see what Scarlet and her new serpentine allies have been up to in Kessex Hills. Oh, and Hearthstone!

At the start of every weekend, we meet with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us for our games-related activities. You can also find us in the comments section to discuss your gaming experiences with us.
