a. Cedric Diggory, pria kelahiran 1977 dan wafat 24 Juni 1995 adalah seorang penyihir Inggris yang merupakan putra Amos Diggory. Dia mulai menghadiri Sekolah Sihir Hogwarts pada tahun 1989, dan disortir ke dalam Rumah Hufflepuff. Selama waktunya di sekolah, dia adalah seorang prefek dan menjadi kapten tim Quidditch Hufflepuff, bermain sebagai Seeker. Di tahun keenamnya, Cedric mengedepankan namanya untuk berlaga di Turnamen Triwizard. Dia terpilih sebagai Juara Triwizard Hogwarts dan, meskipun dibayangi oleh pers dengan masuknya Harry Potter, Cedric menikmati dukungan yang hampir luar biasa dari badan siswa, dan setelah dua tugas pertama, terikat dengan Harry untuk tempat pertama. Cedric dan Harry menyelesaikan Tugas Ketiga bersama-sama. Keduanya memegang Piala Triwizard, yang membawa mereka ke kuburan Little Hangleton, di mana Cedric dibunuh oleh Peter Pettigrew dengan Kutukan Pembunuh, atas perintah Lord Voldemort.
b. Cedric digambarkan sebagai anak yang gagah tetapi pendiam dan luar biasa tampan. Dia memiliki sifat rendah hati dan jujur.
