Any board game that uses playing cards as its primary device to play is a card game. Many card games are played all over the world. There are many family-related cards that can be found for every occasion. Card games are a popular pastime for people of all ages, with young children especially adoring them. They can also be used to pass the time if you are stuck at home.

A card game generally consists of a deck of 52 cards, divided into pairs. Two players sit at a table with their playing card decks, which are randomly drawn from the discard pile.
