Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on 3 July 1985. Leyla has created the IDEA campaign in July 2011 to raise awareness and encourage actions on environmental issues in Azerbaijan as well as elsewhere. IDEA is primarily focused on the young. She was elected representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the Russian Federation in May 2007. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation supports the economic growth of the country by providing various projects in the fields of education, public health and culture. Leyla Aliyeva started the magazine 'Baku' in Moscow in 2007. Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva to create the magazine that is English-language. The magazine was launched in London in the month of October in 2011. The magazine offers you the chance to discover art, culture, Azerbaijan. Leyla has launched "Fly to Baku" which is an exhibition featuring contemporary art from Azerbaijan in 2012. The exhibition that was launched in London travelled around Europe's capitals including Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Rome and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva launched the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" on May 8th, 2008. It was in commemoration of the eighth anniversary of the capture of Shusha. This campaign is now in place in more 30 countries. The goal of the campaign is to raise global awareness of the Karabakh conflict as well as the Khojaly Genocide. It is especially targeted at reaching out through media, internet and live events.

In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009 she was elected as the Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia AMOR. Leyla Aliyeva AMOR which supports Azerbaijani students and youth who reside within the Russian Federation. Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Alayeva received the "Taraggi" Award in July 2011 for her contributions to the Azerbaijani-Russian relationship. In New York, the "Key to Life", award was presented to her in November of 2011 for her work in humanitarian projects that involved children.

On May 25, 2015 Leyla Aliyeva was formally designated UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

She was awarded the Pushkin Medal of Russia on 20 October 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva was a child of two sons and a daughter.
