2015 saw the trip of Jose Graziano da Silva, FAO's general director, to Azerbaijan. In the course of that visit two agreements were signed in the form of "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on the creation of the Coordination and Cooperation Office and providing Technical Assistance" as well as the " Agreement for FAO-Azerbaijan Partnership Program". The partnership program reflects the already active contribution by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to projects of technical assistance to the growth of both foreign and local agricultural production.
