The second activity is all about population growth. My group focuses on the impact of the pandemic on large families and family planning. We interview the Manzon family regarding their life during the pandemic and of course their family planning. The Covid-19 pandemic causes unprecedented, massive closure of schools, public markets, malls, and other business activities. It affected the entire economy as well as job creation. The ones affected the most are low-income families like what Manzon’s family experienced. We also asked about their preparations in family planning and get their response about their importance. We all know that family planning plays a crucial role in reducing poverty as it enables couples to invest in their child better. That’s why it is vital to understand the implications and responsibility of starting a family. In this activity, I learned how important to create family planning before having a child in the near future. This will help couples to prepare themselves mentally and financially. I learned that having a child is difficult. This is a valuable lesson to everyone for those who are planning to start a family. Overpopulation is a major problem in our country and family planning will help to prevent that.
