Pastor of faith, healer of the sick and author Chris Oyakhilome is known to his fans as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also called Christ Embassy. It is located in Lagos. His distinctive interpretation of the Bible has been a source of inspiration for millions across the globe.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised by a loving family and was supported by his parents. He is the eldest of three sons who was born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace upon her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a family effort. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several best-selling gospel musicians.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following in her father's example of sharing God's Word with the world. Also known by CSO her name, she is a talented, award winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.


Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known today as Ambrose Ali University, where He earned a BSc in Architecture. He also received an honorary Doctor of Science award. He is also an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to be a priest and minister to the Lord.

The Man of God created what would eventually become one of the biggest church congregations in the world when he was still in school at university, with the small group of prayer known as "Youth for Christ," which later grew into one of the largest groups of its kind on campus and would serve as the basis of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers across the world.

LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. In the present, LoveWorld television stations are available on cable and satellite networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Two Healing Schools are located in South Africa and Canada. In Canada, Pastor Chris hosts special sessions throughout the year that allow miraculous healing to occur.

Music and Gospel Music are an important part of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. COFI supervises the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations strives to improve people's lives, health, spirits, and well-being.
