Block time

The term block refers to a set of transactions that are grouped together. https://aviator-oyna-turkey.com/ Block times vary, but the target is 2.5 minutes, and the current average is between 10 and 15 minutes.: 215–217

The difficulty of producing new blocks is set intentionally so that not too many blocks will be produced each year. This helps to keep the average time between blocks steady.: 218

Block structure

The first block of transactions is the Bitcoin genesis block, which was created in January 2009. It is considered the first block of bitcoin blockchain because it was the first block in the blockchain sequence, and it contains only one transaction. A block is considered empty if it is of the same transaction type as the most recent block.

Block signature

The hash of the block header conveys sufficient information to prove that the block was hashed in accordance with the proof-of-work function. A block may be valid even if the proof of work spent is zero as it is mathematically impossible to calculate one set of values (proof of work) equal to any other set of values. This is similar to zero-knowledge proof systems in which the verifier does not have to reveal any information that he would not be able to recover easily.

Block data

The field within the block header that specifies the scripting language being used for the transactions in the block is OP_RETURN. OP_RETURN can be used to store any form of data, and this block contains another string whose encoding is in a base64url format. The encoding of the string is:

"asm": "OP_1",
"data": "SM2SW2PucU8LmUyYiNmuZnRma2k8"

For the remainder of this article, the following figure will be used to illustrate the way block data is structured.

Block timestamp

The timestamp denotes when the block was created and signed and is part of the block header. This timestamp is cryptographically generated and set to the current Unix timestamp when the block is created. The timestamp field is useful for ordering transactions chronologically and also to help distinguish original bitcoin transactions from re-encryption of the same transaction set.: 218

Block reward

The block reward is a set amount of newly created bitcoins that are distributed as a
