Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on the 3rd of July, 1985. She studied in both London and Moscow and gained a Masters Degree at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla was the founder of the IDEA campaign, which promotes awareness and action regarding environmental concerns in Azerbaijan. IDEA is geared towards youth and helps them find solutions to the environmental challenges they confront.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is a foundation that aids in the country's socio-economic development. It has a wide range of initiatives in the fields of education, sport, culture technology, as well as the environment. She was elected Vice-President in 2011.

The magazine was launched in London's O2 building in the month of October, 2011. The magazine allows you to explore Azerbaijani art, culture as well as the country. Leyla Aliyeva started the "Justice for Khojaly" campaign on May 8 in 2008. This was the anniversary of the Shusha's occupation. The campaign is currently taking place in over 30 countries. The aim is to raise awareness across the globe about the Karabakh conflict and Khojaly Genocide.

Leyla Aliyeva, who was the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue's General Coordinator, became Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia, - AMOR that supports Azerbaijani students as well as youngsters in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva was honored with the "Taraggi” award in July 2011 for her contribution to the improvement of Russian-Azerbaijani relations. In New York she was also presented with the "Key To Life," award in November 2011, in recognition of her humanitarian projects with children.

On the 25th of May, 2015, Leyla Aliyeva was formally designated UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

On October 20, 2015, she received the Pushkin Medal from the Russian Federation.

Leyla Aliyeva was raised with two sons and a daughter.
