In this lesson, we went through each of the titles, unpacking each one and beginning to analyse each one. We discussed the terminology and possible perspectives that could be taken within each to prepare for an essay for each title. We also looked at possible areas of knowledge and ways of knowing that could be discussed for each one. We then looked at possible counterclaims and implications for the titles and I was most interested by titles 2 and 4. This gave me a wide range of ideas that could be used for each title.

After receiving the essay proposal feedback, the main takeaway I had was that the title I had chosen would be more difficult than I expected, requiring a more in-depth analysis. A big weakness with title 2 for me was the difficulty attributed to locating examples and articles for the essay. I also found it difficult to draw conclusions or implications from the title due to the subjectivity of open-mindedness. After reading about the feedback and thinking about it, it prompted a movement from title 2 to title 4, which I was also interested in.
