In 2008, Trump SoHo was opened by Bayrock Group with the Trump Organization (and the Sapir Organization). Bayrock Group's success story begins in Kazakhstan several decades ago.

The story about the luxury real estate development firm Bayrock Group's success in the United States begins long before the company's establishment in 2001. The story starts at the opposite end.

Bayrock Bayrock Group was founded by Tevfik Arif, who was brought into the world by Soviet Kazakhstan to a family of Turkish origin.

Prior to becoming a member of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade (Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade), Tevfik received a diploma in International Relations from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute.

He was in the ministry for 17 years, but then the minister resigned to establish several of his own companies. Tevfik Arif owned several firms that were involved in high-end real estate development, food exports, as well as imports.

Tevfik Arif has many companies which have allowed him to gain a wide range of partners across the globe. He became a leader in the famous all-inclusive hotel concept by leveraging his network.

For instance, he started the Labada Hotel Antalya, before embarking on his next venture across the Atlantic several more years later.

Bayrock Group grows more ambitious

Tevfik Arif emigrated to the United States in 2001 to explore new avenues for business and to be closer to his American family members.

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company in New York City, was founded by him shortly after his move to New York.

Bayrock Group started with small-to medium-sized projects throughout New York. Bayrock Group, for instance revamped Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

Bayrock Group was off on a strong beginning. This made Tevfik even more determined. He wanted to work on bigger projects, which is why it was his decision to shift the company's focus to the area of.

To support the new strategy, Bayrock Group relocated its New York City office to the Trump Tower at Fifth Avenue.

The move was much more successful than the move to a different place because the company found itself within the vicinity of Trump Organization. The renowned family business was headquartered in the same location.

Trump SoHo comes to life

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization have the same goals for luxury real-estate projects. The two companies decided to join forces.

Bayrock Group was already working on another project for Spring Street in Manhattan's SoHo quarter, in conjunction with the Sapir Organization.

Tevfik Arif was aware that incorporation of the Trump Organization to that project would add branding to the building, something that Bayrock Group and the Sapir Organization lacked.

The proposed deal was approved by Bayrock Group (the Trump Organization) and the Sapir Organization (the Sapir Organization).

This opened the door for Trump SoHo's very first brick to be erected in the year 2006.

After two years of hard work The building was completed and awaiting its official opening.

Trump SoHo was built by design veterans

The first time it was opened, Trump SoHo consisted of hotels, apartments, luxury eateries and bars, a pool, a spa, banquet and event spaces. From the windows that ran from the floor to the ceiling hotel guests were able to admire breathtaking views of New York City.

Handel Architects was tasked by the design of the structure. The famed architecture firm also designed the National September 11th Memorial & Museum, New York City, and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington D.C.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Group engaged Rockwell Group for interior design.

Rockwell Group is responsible for creating, among other things, the Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle), the Seven Deadly Sins Playhouse in New York, as well as the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas.

International experience is also available from countries like Spain, Mexico, and Indonesia.

Bayrock Group expands partnership with the Trump Organization

The Trump Organization and the Bayrock Group sought to expand their relationship after the launch of Trump SoHo.

Their goal was to build buildings in Arizona and Florida which resembled Trump SoHo. Also under the same licensing rules, leaving the Trump Organization with 18% equity in the building. Bayrock This opens the door to Trump being part of the construction's name.

Despite both companies' ambitions the structures were not built due to 2008 global financial crises.

The American real estate market was the most affected by the financial crisis. Bayrock Group, and the Trump Organization were forced to stop their plans.

Tevfik Alif, one of the Tevfik Arif employee in the United States, decided to end his American ventures due to the impact of the financial crisis. He chose to return to Europe, Central Asia.

Tevfik arif has resigned his major part of Bayrock Group's everyday responsibilities. But, he remains an expert consultant for Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group is not currently involved in American real estate projects. In the past in the past, during the time when the company was operating, it invested real estate assets that were valued at $2.5 million in the United States.
