Camping in the wild is a wonderful method to spend time with my family. But technology is always a good idea.

It is important to mention that from the beginning: we are an outdoor family. That means that we spend all of our time outside. We have dogs and cats. We are one happy, camping family. However, we know precisely where we are, and how they got there. We also know where to get water and how to stay in touch with each other while watching TV. We do not want to give up our little addictions, and leave the house without music or entertainment we're not here for that. We insist on taking our portable generator and a large 32" screen. Some people think we're nomadic nomads.. We reside in Seattle and our dad is employed as a lawyer with a small company. Mother says that's the reason he likes to go camping at least four times per month - trying to not be an burden to his job..

Our cats are independent and move about their daily lives within the vicinity. We love spending time at the campfire, singing songs, and conversing. The funny thing is that they are always prepared to return for the return to home part. Joiner is a breed of hunter-helper dog that finds our kitties after we return. They never lose weight and love being there.

Our smartphones and tablets aren't a problem when you're camping. However, we do appreciate technology and will not stop using it even when we are camping. Our father doesn't mind however, he does turn off his cell phone throughout the two days of the weekend. It allows him to relax according to him. After a long day of hunting and fishing, we have a huge meal in the forest. After dinner, we enjoy watching music videos or TV shows we downloaded off of the internet prior to the trip. Most of the time we cannot get any Internet in the woods, so this maybe the primary reason why our parents don't mind being on the phone - sooner or later we run out of games, and save emails to answer, and get back into conversation. Before a trip, we often copy videos with some Youtube clip converter, or other website for downloading videos. HULU has a great selection of downloading options. It lets us copy and save hours of films on our computers and laptops prior to our excursion. Of course, videos and shows are not only good in idle time during camp excursions, but also very useful when traveling, as 3 hours long drives in the camper usually end up being super dull. My father is really enjoying this type of trip. He is focused on the road. Plus, this massive machine is difficult to operate and it is essential to concentrate on the task at hand.

Another piece of tech we won't give up on is GPS. It's essential in an emergency to know where you stand and how to return home. While we've not experienced any serious issues on our travels so far, we've read about stories of snow avalanches and dirt that could occasionally ruin people's holiday. GPS will always tell you where you can be safe, in the event that it is aware of the location of safety. The satellites that are friendly above the sky also direct GPS in the correct direction. In order to get us safe from our campsite to a safe place, we rely on a new generation of technology. A helicopter is able to be able to zoom in on your GPS position to locate you in an emergency.
