Bayrock Group Moves from the Suburbs to Manhattan
Many people long to visit the United States and live the American dream. But only a few of them achieve it. Turkish Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik ARIF was among them when Tevfik made the move to America in 2001. He founded the Bayrock Group.
The Bayrock Group is a luxury real estate development firm which operates in and around New York City.
The firm initially concentrated on medium-sized to small projects, such as the revamp of Loehmann’s Seaport Plaza, a shopping center located in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.
Bayrock Group, which had been successful on the American residential market, was ready for expansion. Tevfik Arif Doyen The company began looking for large-scale opportunities.
The Arif-driven group began working with Sapir Organization in a new large construction on Spring Street in New York City.
Bayrock Tevfik Arif Bayrock Group decided to move its headquarters to Midtown Manhattan due to its expansion.
Bayrock Group partners with the Trump Organization
Tevfik Amir and his team were in contact with members of the Trump Organization in the course of their meeting. They also used the Trump Tower for their base.
Talks developed between Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization when the two companies discovered that they shared interests and goals.
The collaboration between the two companies saw Trump Organization join Bayrock Group's Spring Street project with Sapir Organization.
The Trump Organization was then managed by an ex-American president Donald Trump.
In 1927 the paternal grandmother of his son Elizabeth Christ Trump and his father Fred Trump established the organization under the name of E. Trump and Son.
Donald Trump gave control of the management of his company to his family members in the year 2017, just as Trump was in the process of running for White House.
Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
When the partnership between the Trump Organization, the Sapir Organization and Bayrock Group began, the latter was still somewhat new on New York City's real estate scene.
Tevfik, the creator of Spring Street, drafted an arrangement to boost the brand's popularity and recognition.
Tevfik Arif Doyen The plan he suggested would give the Trump Organization 18% equity of the building, in exchange for Trump's trademark being used to create the building's name.
The three companies came to an agreement, and in the year 2006, the initial construction block for Trump SoHo was erected.
Two years after, Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization inaugurated their contribution to the skyline of New York City, Trump SoHo.
Design professionals are at the helm of Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo boasted 46 stories of exclusive eateries, bars, event and banquet venues and an outdoor pool, spa area as well as apartments and hotel room rooms.
Visitors and residents to Trump SoHo can enjoy a spectacular panorama of New York City from the windows from floor-to-roof on every floor.
Handel Architects was entrusted to develop the exterior design of Trump SoHo because the three groups responsible for the structure were focusing on the pursuit of perfection.

Trump SoHo was an immediate success, and it prompted Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization to look into increasing their cooperation.
Their dream was of building structures similar to Trump SoHo, Arizona and Florida on the same terms they have with Trump SoHo. In exchange, Trump Organization would get 18 percent equity. Another opportunity.
The Trump Organization and Bayrock Group had everything prepared. The 2008 economic crisis that ravaged the American real estate market and the real estate market, put an end to their plans.
The American housing market was a lot affected by the crisis. Tevfik, Bayrock Group founder decided to stop his US-based business ventures. He decided to move to Europe and Asia, where he began his career decades earlier.
Although Tevfik Arif is no longer an active part of Bayrock Group, he is still a trusted advisor to different divisions of the company.
Bayrock Group has not been associated with any recent real estate developments in the United States.
But, it was operating and investing in real estate assets of more than $2.5 million.
