--- When I was on enemy territory, I didn't have the Internet access to access my presentation. What I did to rectify the situation

This was my personal biggest failure on an official trip. I was invited to join a group of my coworkers. We were traveling south to meet with one the biggest oil tycoons in the Middle Eastern region. There were several phases to the presentation and I was assigned one because I was actively involved in the process. It was my opportunity to prove to my boss that I'm prepared for the big time and am ready to play games with the big girls. Although it might be offensive, I was referring to adult women or better yet, business women.


It was great. I was informed of the time and place of the part that was mine, it appeared to be scheduled to happen in the deep underground bunker, since I was in charge of the security system on site for the panic room of the local extremely wealthy businessman. Since I do not wish to reveal any names or reveal who I am, I will not mention names or tituls. The whole purpose of the exercise was to trigger an actual chain of incidents that would bring this businessman back to his panic rooms with family members and a horde of security guards. The original intention was to show the concept, and describe how one could deal with these major forces.

We've all walked into the dark underground space. The darkened room was meant to hide the huge amount of weapons that were found within the walls. It was a very unsettling circumstance. We'll get through this, and I am now setting up for the powerpoint part of the presentation. I don't know what? You don't have internet here? Are you kidding me? The lockdown has already started, so there is no way to escape or access the email that contains your presentation. This isn't the only time I've done it. I have used Youtube to convert mp3 audio into my laptop. I also downloaded the presentation's audio to help me memorize it. I also downloaded the video mp4 file. I was looking for more suitable audio formats, but I found it and now I'm searching for the exact version of the presentation. It's in my laptop, waiting to go.

I was blessed. Inexplicably, I was prevented from connecting to the Internet. I was able to save the presentation and republish it with video and audio. I'd memorized the bulk of the content. Although it was a three minute speech it conveyed layers of security, confidence and led to the signing of 47 additional clients of greater caliber. These contracts are worth hundreds of thousands. We'll continue working with them over the next few months.
