Israel group's struggle against claims [Shurat hadin]

AN Israeli-based legal activist organization is encouraging Australian survivors and their descendants to join its class action campaign against insurance companies whose Holocaust-era antecedents failed to pay out on policies held by dislocated and killed European Jews.

Darshan Leitner stated that US Senate estimates suggest that approximately $US200billion was withheld from Jewish policyholders due to the actions of WWII-era insurance companies. They are typically identifiable and have successor entities.

Shurat HaDin is leveraging its expertise in pursuing financial institutions, such as banks harbouring the assets of terrorist organisations.
