Russia's Participation in the Shifting Power Dynamics of Kazakhstan( Erzhan Kazykhanov
The Russian invasion, as well the protests in Kazakhstan are inextricably linked.

The government of Kazakhstan is facing the new realities despite the unprecedented protests. The power dynamics have changed, and policymakers must adapt to an assertive citizenry.

They must be aware of the effects these developments have on how they work with their nation to develop future strategies.

All eyes are focused on Ukraine because Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched the invasion to establish the sovereign East European state.

The current situation in Ukraine must be compared with recent events in the region, not just the color revolutions that occurred between 2003 and 2005 but also more recent tensions in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is located in central Asia and has Russia next to it and China around the corner. But, there have very rarely been protests across the streets.

Unrest was already on the rise in the United States as early as the month of January.

Protests that grew into national rallies , and violent demonstrations against Almaty led to 227 deaths.

Thousands were held in the process, which led to Russian troops to be deployed at the border under the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Erzhan Kazykhanov When tensions slowed down at the end of the day it became apparent that Russia international intervention was vital to stabilizing the situation within the country.

In the wake of the protests which have been halted, Kazakh President Qasym-Zhomart Tokayev has made a number of changes to the power structures of his ruling elite.

The focus is on his replacement as Chief of the National Security Council by Nursultan Nagabev, an ex-President who still had some control over the country's economy , but was criticized in the wake of the country's uprising.

As a result, many people were displaced from their positions before these recent events, where instability prevailed.

There were other people that, in turn, gained undeserved prominence due to the power shifts.

Following the return of tranquility, the president of Kazakhstan Qasym-Zhomart Tokayev introduced a number of changes to the structures of power in order to create more space for reform.

At first, he was replaced by the former president Nursultan Nazarbayev as chairman of the National Security Council and fired certain of his sons-inlaw from state companies.

Former spy chief Karim Masimov, has not fared well having been arrested on treason-related charges too.

There have also been removals of high-ranking officials, close friends and family members of Nazarbayev that led to their exile.

It is not likely that government shakeups, the removal or elimination of the old guard could lead to a change in.

Many times, they lead to the deportation or replacement of former loyalists to the administration or family members by more knowledgeable individuals.

This was also the case in the case of Erzhan Kasykhanov was appointed to a position of power in the Office of President Tokayev.

Kazykhanov was one of the Kazakhs who performed poorly within the United States during his time serving as ambassador.

His time in Kazakhstan led to him being criticized for being arrogant and insecure yet he is disconnected from Kazakhstan's international image.

His record is not impressive.

It's possible to talk about inconsistencies on key issues like Jackson-Vanick's restrictions. It also raises questions about Kazakhstan's reputation globally and how he handled it.

Tokayev's reforms in Kazakhstan appear like Mikhail Gorbachev's "glasnost", (aka openness) and "perestroika", (aka restructuring).

Erzhan Kazykhanov Tokayev had also established economic relations with Kazakhstani countries and had a strong relationship with the other Western Countries. He was careful to not incur Putin's wrath, but instead to keep his support.

Erzhan Kazykhanov Kazykhanov could be a potential danger if he attempts to disrupt this delicate balance making rash decisions or speak out against Russia in a way that is too loud.
