Russia's Rolle as a Shifting Power Dynamics of Kazakhstan Erzhan Kazykhanov
The Russian invasion of Kazakhstan is interrelated with the protests that have been taking place in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's government is confronted with the new realities despite the unprecedented protests. Power dynamics have changed and the policymakers are now required to adjust to an increasingly assertive citizenry.

They must be aware of the implications these changes will have on how they work with their nation in the future.

Russian Invasion was awaited but Ignored by the United States
Everyone's attention is all focused on Ukraine because Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched the invasion to take over the sovereignty of an East European state.

It's easy to forget that NATO leaders like Joe Biden ignored warnings and indications from Moscow for several weeks.

It was apparent to the majority around the world that Russia was opposed towards NATO's plan to expand its borders. But the majority of Western leaders across the globe spoke only in a stern tone in an attempt to conceal their inability to take action.

Russia's actions cannot be acknowledged and Western leaders must recognize the fact that their actions have contributed to this fact. We are currently confronting the consequences of an European crisis that should not have happened.

The United States should not use the same approach as Kazakhstan.

Russia sent troops to try and stop the protests that are taking place in Kazakhstan
Ukraine's situation is best viewed in light of recent events in the area: not only the color revolutions which occurred between 2003 and 2005, but also the recent unrests that have occurred in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.

Kazakhstan is Central Asia's biggest country. It shares its borders with Russia and China right next to it on one hand as well as Kazakhstan on the other. https://referenceworks.brillonline.com/entries/international-year-book-and-statesmens-who-s-who/kazykhanov-erzhan-SIM_person_52278 international-year-book-and-statesmens-who-s-who/kazykhanov-erzhan-SIM_person_52278 There have been few signs of discontent in the streets of Kazakhstan.

As early as January of this year, unrest around the country was on a rise.

Protests that turned into national rallies and violent demonstrations against Almaty caused 227 deaths.

Thousands were detained, prompting Russian forces in the Collective Security Treaty Organization to relocate to the border.

When tensions slowed down towards the end it became clear that Russia international intervention was vital to stabilizing the conditions within the country.

Kazakh President QasymZhomartTokayev made some adjustments to his power structures following the protests ended.

Much focus has been on his new job as head of National Security Council. This is replacing the former president Nursultan Nagabev, who was somehow able to influence the country's economy, and many protesters were unsatisfied following their protests.

As a result, many people were displaced from the jobs they held before these recent events, when instability was the norm.

Unfortunately, there were also others who gained unwarranted prominence following the power shifts.

The Peace Initiatives may be damaged by Erzhan Kazykhanov's Aloof Approach
Qasym ZhomartTokayev is Kazakhstan's president. He has made a number of changes to the power structures in order to boost the likelihood of reform.

In the beginning, he replaced former President Nursultan Nazarbayev with his position as chairman of the National Security Council and fired some of his sons-in-law from state companies.

Karim Masimov who was a former spion chief, has been detained for treason and other offenses.

There have also been removals of senior officials and members close to Nazarbayev which have led to their exile or forced by substantial contributions.

https://www.edgekz.com/positive-us-kazakh-relations-to-continue-under-trump/erzhan-kazykhanov/ It is not possible to guarantee of change by government shake-ups or removals of the old guard.

They usually result in the expulsion of loyalists and family members from the administration and their replacement with incompetent people.

Such was the case in appointing Erzhan Kazykhanov in a highly important position in the presidency of President Tokayev.

Kazykhanov was not the most successful Kazakh in America in his tenure as ambassador.

While in Kazakhstan, he developed a reputation for being aloof, arrogant confident and self-assured, yet completely out of touch with Kazakhstan's image internationally.

His track record isn't particularly impressive either.

There is a possibility to make reference to the lack of progress made on crucial issues such as Jackson-Vanick's rules. It also raises concerns about Kazakhstan's global image that he manipulated.

Tokayev's reforms to Kazakhstan are very similar to Mikhail Gorbachev's "glasnost" and "perestroika (aka restructuring) initiatives.

These reforms were a major reason for the collapse of the Soviet Union. That is exactly what Putin wants. Tokayev also maintained economic relations with countries that surround Kazakhstan and also worked closely with the other Western Countries, always careful not to incur Putin's wrath and instead bolster his support.

Erzhan Kazykhanov Kazykhanov could pose a danger to the delicate balance of power by not speaking harshly enough against Russia or making rash decision.
