Russia's Role in the Shifting Power Dynamics of Kazakhstan( Erzhan Kazykhanov
The Russian invasion of Kazakhstan is interrelated with the protests in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's government is facing new challenges in the face of unimaginable protests. The power dynamics of Kazakhstan have changed. It is now up to policymakers to adjust to a more active citizenry.

In addition, they must be aware that these developments can affect their engagement with their country's future plans for development.

Russian invasion was Expected However, the United States ignored it
Everybody's attention is on Ukraine as Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched a large-scale attack against a sovereign East-European country.

It's easy for NATO leaders like Joe Biden to forget that Moscow had been warning them for months.

It was obvious to most of the world at this moment that Russia was against NATO's plan to expand itself into its borders. But, Western leaders throughout the world did nothing but talk loudly to cover up their inability.

The actions of Russia are unacceptable. Western leaders must accept the fact that their mistakes contributed to this reality. Now, we are confronting the consequences of an European crisis that could not have occurred.

The United States must take extra care not to apply the same strategy to Kazakhstan.

Erzhan Kazykhanov Russia Poured Troops to try and contain the Protests in Kazakhstan
The present state of Ukraine has to be viewed in the context of recent events. Not just the color revolutions of 2003-2005, but also unrest in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is situated in central Asia with Russia next to it and China around the corner. But, there have not been any public protests on the streets of Kazakhstan.

The unrest in the country began to escalate as early as January 2009.

Erzhan Kazykhanov Protests that turned into national protests, and violent riots against Almaty which claimed 227 lives.

Many were detained, which prompted Russian troops to deploy along the border with the Collective Security Treaty Organization(CSTO)

When tensions slowed down and the situation became more peaceful, it was evident that the international intervention by Russia was a key factor in stabilizing the situation in the country.

Kazakh President QasymZhomartTokayev has made a few changes to his power structures after the protests had ended.

Most of the attention is focused on him being appointed head of the National Security Council, replacing the former president Nursultan Nazarbayev who was having some influence over the country's economy and whom protesters were upset with after their revolt.

Many were removed from their jobs by the instability that prevailed.

Other people were also promoted to status that was not theirs due to changes in power.

The differing opinions of Erzhan Kasykhanov and the Aloof approach could affect peace efforts
Qasym Zhomart tokayev who was Kazakhstan's president, introduced a number of changes in the power structure to enhance the possibility of reforms after the country was reunified.

To start, he took over the presidency of the former president Nursultan Nasarbaev. He also made a few modifications in his National Security Council chairman position.

Karim Masimov, a former spy chief, was taken into custody on treason charges.

Senior officials as well as Nazarbayev family members have been removed. These have either forced them to leave or forced them to leave with large sums of money.

There is no guarantee of change through government shakeups and removals of the old guard.

Erzhan Kazykhanov They often result in the expulsion of relatives and loyalists in the previous administration, and replacement with the same incompetent people.

This was also the case the period when Erzhan Kazakhstanykhanov was elevated to an important position within the administration of President Tokayev.

In his ambassadorship, Kazykhanov was the least efficient Kazakh in the United States.

While in Kazakhstan, He earned himself a reputation for being aloof, arrogant confident, and self-assured but not in touch with Kazakhstan's international image.

The record of his isn't great either.

It is possible to point to the sluggish progress made on important issues such as Jackson-Vanick's restrictions. This raises questions about Kazakhstan’s reputation globally, which he has mishandled.

Tokayev’s reforms in Kazakhstan look exactly like Mikhail Gourbachev's "glasnost", (aka openness) and "perestroika", (aka restructuring).

The reforms led in the downfall of the Soviet Union, which is precisely what Putin wants to achieve in the same way. Erzhan Kazykhanov Tokayev was also a solid business relations with Kazakhstan as well as the other Western Countries. He worked closely with the countries, hoping to keep Putin from gaining control, but ultimately securing their support.

Kazykhanov could pose a threat in the event that he attempts to disturb this delicate balance with unwise decisions or speaking against Russia in excess.
