Pastor Faith healer, pastor and author, Chris Oyakhilome is well-known to his fans as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. It is headquartered in Lagos. His unique presentation of God's Word has enthralled millions worldwide.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised by a loving family and supported by his parents. He is the elder of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founding members of the Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her grace upon her son from a young age.

The whole family is actively engaged with the LoveWorld ministry. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by CSO she has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father by sharing the gospel of God the world. She is an accomplished gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies in Edo College. After a grant was made to study the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he earned the BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he sensed God called him to become a minister to the Lord.

When he was still at the university, The Man of God created what would become one of the largest churches around the world. He started an unassuming prayer group dubbed "Youth for Christ" that would eventually grow into the most popular organisation of its type on campus. This could also be the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated which has millions of followers across the globe.

Under Pastor Chris's guidance, under the direction of Pastor Chris, the LoveWorld ministry became a pioneer in satellite television and Christian television production and programming. LoveWorldSAT broadcast the first Christian television station that reaches from Africa to the rest of the world, 24/7 via free-toair networks. In the present, LoveWorld stations can be seen on satellite and cable television networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria and South Africa. It also has strong representations across the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, and South Africa. The church has two healing schools located in South Africa.


Music and Gospel Music form an integral part in worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches to have a choir trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry and, under the guidance and direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, many of these musicians go on to pursue successful solo careers.

The Future African Leaders Foundation is an organization that is continuing the inspiring work of Pastor Chris. Its mission is to find and nurture young, gifted leaders. They help them prepare for a a bright future by supporting and celebrating their achievements. Pastor Chris is investing in today's youth so they can become tomorrow's leaders.

Apart from preaching the Gospel message the Man Of God has also set up a variety of non-profit organizations that provide essential services and hope to those who are the least vulnerable and neglected. Five partners form part of COFI, all working together to raise living standards in the most deprived areas.

COFI's umbrella covers the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM), the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve the lives and health of those who are most in need.
