When he was an army officer, he received the Israeli Defense Prize. It is the highest honor for an individual who makes outstanding contributions to Israel security. The formal education of his father taught him the skills which made his military career possible.



Tal Dilian's keen understanding of the potential and power of education was what opened him up to new ideas. It was the right time to pursue a higher education. In 2005, the Israeli government approved a 17 billion NIS (5 billion USD) 10-year plan for the development of the Negev region that was largely a desert area.



The Negev region encompasses 60% of the territory of Israel However, only 8 percent of the population lived there when Daroma was established.



Tal Dilian, along with his three cofounders, had one goal. They wanted to encourage people to relocate to the area and also to draw organizations and institutions of government.



DaromaTzafona has been renamed DaromaTzafona to reflect its current focus on the northern region of Israel, Galilee.



The company boasts a rate of growth of 6% annually , and has employed over 4,500 people in its regional offices.
