How to keep current with music from your native country even though it's been 10 years since you left.

How are you getting on? I am a Russki teenager who moved to America to have a better life. I was very poor back in Russia. I wasn't near the middle class. I wasn't rich at all. My family, not me. Russia was a nation where young adults did not need money until they were to adulthood. Thus, we needed to think of new ways to make money. There are many strategies that look similar to alcoholics soliciting money from their neighbors to buy their vodka bottles. The idea is similar, we would explore ways to earn a few minutes to purchase bread. We would always be hungry.

So, I reached America. It is far away from New York, Brooklyn and Brighton Beach. This area reminds me of many times of my home. It's noisy, filthy, filled with Russian language, and people are rude, well it's just normal Russian city bliss. I've spent quite a lot of money there, mostly in Russian restaurants and music/books stores.

I am a huge fan of music, just as I love reading books. It turns out that it's easy to find Russian literature using Kindle. Therefore, I have stopped buying hard copies books. My wife, who's an over-stufferer has a small space in her home, so I try to avoid buying unnecessary things. After a bit of research, the first few months , my stacks of books turned into an ugly sight, and I moved them to my garage where there's still room for my stuff.


But music, - music is distinct. My job requires lots of driving, so I have a lot of music. As a Russian immigrant, it's hard for me to appreciate the music that I listen to in America. I'm not a fanof hip hop or rap. I also don't like the new-age stuff kids like to dance too. I am a huge fan of Russian music and the songs that were written in jail. They're still very popular even though I have been away for over 20 years. Youtube is where everything happens. You are able to find me on YouTube all day long, even after work.

And so after a while I've put together a long playlist of more than 300 songs that I really enjoy. The playlist is a treasure chest of music that I listen to throughout the day. It contains over 300 songs. However, I'm unable to access the Internet to download them to play in my car. This is because I use it to navigate and driving. I make everything at home. I'm in the middle now. I make a few tracks on Youtube Then I convert these mp3s into MP3 files with my laptop. Then, I bring the CD with me to my car, and listen. It can also take an Youtube playlist to print out the songs. Each song is then converted into MP3 and stored on my computer. It's then easy to transfer it to audio CD. Sometimes, I create data discs but they won't play in the car stereo. But it is possible to record audio. It's amazing to look at how technology operates. I don’t need to go online or have any other gadgets to play MP3. I just insert CD into the car stereo, and I hear the Russian music booming in Manhattan.

It's very easy to grab videos on Youtube and save them as mp3 files. It is then possible to download them onto your Smartphone. My friend connected his smartphone to his car stereo and the phone started playing high-quality sound in less than 2 seconds. He could also stream Spotify as well as Pandora radio. It doesn't require much Internet. www mp3 juice This is something I'm planning to test the next time. Of course, I'll take care not to use any free WiFi.
