Where Did Poker Come From?
You should know that playing poker with too many players is a big no! One of the most common mistakes committed by new poker players is playing with too many hands. This will only encourage them to quit. You can open up your range if you are a newbie to poker.

This game is named after its face-up community cards, which can be shared by players and dealt at center of the gambling tables. This game is basically the variation of stud poker. Different from the stud poker, players in community card poker are dealt with incomplete hands combined with community cards to create a complete hand. Currently, one of the most popular community card pokers is Texas hold 'em which was created around 1920s. Other examples of this variant include Omaha hold 'em, Manila, Pinatubo, and Pineapple hold 'em.

Hands are ranked according to the number of cards they have. A badugi is ranked higher in a 3- or 2-card hands, and a higher-ranked pair wins over a lower one. If two or three players have the same hand the one with lower value wins. Examples: Hand A may consist of 3spade (5heart), 6diamond and 4club (6534) whereas Hand B could consist of Aspade (4heart), 2diamond and 5diamond (542A), the hand wins.

It is also known for being a game of community cards because there are shared cards that all players can use when trying to make their best 5-card hand. Each player will receive two private cards, known as hole cards. These cards are only seen by the player they are dealt to. Throughout the game there will be a number of betting card poker rounds and 5 community or shared cards that will be dealt. These cards will be dealt face up. Players will attempt the best five-card hand by using any combination possible of the 7 cards that they have (2 shared cards and 5 private cards). This principle is applicable to all poker games.

The Dealer will then start with the small blind and deal cards one by one to each player. This continues until two rounds are made, leaving each player with two cards of the their own as seen above. The dealer should deal the last card.

The main difference with Omaha and Texas Holdem is that Omaha poker requires you to deal four cards at the start of each game, rather than just two. However you are only permitted to use two of the four cards plus any three of the five community cards.
