Bayrock Group: New York's Real Estate Giant is Rising (Tevfik Arif)

Trump SoHo was launched in 2008 by Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization.

Bayrock Group, The Rise of New York Real Estate Giant

Bayrock Group opened Trump SoHo along with the Trump Organization in 2008 and the Sapir Organization. Bayrock Group was founded in Kazakhstan in the year 1980.

Bayrock Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate developer in the United States, has a long-running history dating all the way to 2001, the year the company was established. The story begins on the other side.

Tevfik Alif is the founder of Bayrock Group. He was brought to the world from Soviet Kazakhstan to a Turkish-speaking family.

Before joining the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade in the Soviet Union, Tevfik earned a degree at the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute.

After 17 years in the ministry, he decided to create his own business. Tevfik Arif had several businesses, including ones in high-end real estate development, food, and exports or imports.

Tevfik Arif was able to establish many international partnerships through his various businesses. The network he built led him to relocate to Turkey in 1993, where he became one of the main players of Turkey's popular all-inclusive hotel model.

He, for instance, founded the Labada Hotel in Antalya before the start of his next business venture across the Atlantic several years later.

Bayrock Group gets more ambitious

Tevfik Amir moved into America in 2001 in search of new opportunities in business and be closer to his American family.


After moving, he founded the luxury realty development firm Bayrock Group in New York City.

Bayrock Group started with small-to medium-sized projects in New York. Bayrock Group, for example revamped Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

Bayrock Group was an excellent start. It gave Tevfik arif more motivation. He wanted to focus on bigger projects, which is why he decided to move the company's focus on that.

Bayrock Group, New York City's office relocated to Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue as part of its latest strategy.

It was a move that resulted in a higher profit than any other site. The company was located within close proximity to the Trump Organization. The building was also home to the internationally recognized family business.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Trump SoHo comes to life

Bayrock Group was inspired by Trump's plan to create high-end real estate properties and they decided to work together.

Bayrock Group was already involved in another project at Spring Street in Manhattan's SoHo district along with the Sapir Organization.

Tevfik Ariff was aware that including the Trump Organization in the project could boost brand recognition for the building, which Bayrock Group and Sapir Organization didn't have.

Arif created an agreement which allowed the Trump Organization to own 18 percent of the building in exchange for the Trump logo being utilized.

The three parties to the deal, Bayrock Group and Trump Organization, agreed.

That was the foundation for the very first bricks of Trump SoHo to be laid in 2006.

The building was finished after two years of laborious work.

Trump SoHo construction led by design experts

Trump SoHo included apartments, rooms for guests, luxury restaurants, bars, lounges, a pool as well as a banquet hall, spa and banquet rooms. From the building's floor–to-ceiling windows guests could get to take in breathtaking views of New York City.

Handel Architects was tasked by the design of the structure. The architecture firm was responsible for designing the National September 11th Memorial & Museum in New York City as well as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Bayrock Group employed Rockwell Group to take care of the design and interior of the building.

Rockwell Group designed, among many other structures among others, the Climate Pledge Arena as well as the Seven Deadly Sins Theatre in Seattle. The Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas was also designed by the group.

The firm has also worked with international countries such as Mexico, Spain, and Indonesia.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization increase their partnership

After the launch of Trump SoHo, the Trump Organization and the Bayrock Group wanted to increase their partnership.

Their dream was for constructions that resembled Trump SoHo, Arizona and Florida. Trump Organization would have 18% ownership of the building, also under the same licensing conditions. This would also pave the way for "Trump" to be an element of the construction's name.

Despite both companies' ambitions the structures did not get constructed due to the 2008 global financial crises.

https://www.bayrockins.com/ The American real estate market was particularly affected by the recession. Bayrock Group was forced to abandon plans and Trump Organization was forced to cancel their plans.

The financial crisis was responsible for changing the American real property market to the degree that Tevfik Arif decided to leave his United States undertakings. He chose to move to Europe and Central Asia.

Tevfik Arif Doyen He moved to the private sector and continued to work.

Tevfik Arif has quit most of his daily duties for Bayrock Group today. However, he is still a respected consultant to the company.

Bayrock Bayrock Group has not been involved with any American real estate ventures in recent years, but it did invest real estate properties in the United States worth $2.5million when it was active.
