Bayrock Group's Journey: from the Suburbs up to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company driven by Tevfik Arif, found itself quickly cooperating with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group Moves From Suburbs To Manhattan
Many want to live the American dream. But only a small percentage of people achieve it. Turkish Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik Ari was present when he established Bayrock Group in America in 2001.

The Bayrock Group is a luxury real estate development company which operates in and around New York City.

Initially, the company essentially centered around small to medium-sized projects like the redesign of the Loehmann's Seaport Plaza - a shopping center located in the Sheepshead neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.


Bayrock Group had gained momentum in the American housing market and started to explore larger-scale projects.

The Arif-driven companies began working with the Sapir Organization for a big construction project on Spring Street in New York City.

Bayrock Group was also expanding and decided to relocate its headquarters to the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.

Bayrock Group team up with the Trump Organization
The incident resulted in Tevfik and his team members having a meeting with the Trump Organization. The organization also had Trump Tower at its base.

Discussions started between Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization after both firms realized that they shared several common interests.

The cooperation was established between the two companies. The Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group and Sapir Organization's Spring Street project.

The former American President Donald Trump was the president of the Trump Organization at that time.

E. Bayrock Bayrock Trump and Son was established by his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Christ Trump and Fred Trump (in 1927).

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Donald Trump, who was close to assuming the White House, handed the management of the company over to his children in the year 2017.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
The partnership between the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization was a relatively new addition to New York City's real-estate scene.

Tevfik arif who was the founder, created an arrangement to give Spring Street more brand recognition.

As per the proposal by Trump The Trump Organization would get 18 percent equity in the building in return to the Trump brand in the title of the construction.

All three firms agreed to the arrangement, and then in the year 2006, the initial stone of what would eventually be Trump SoHo was laid.

Two years later Bayrock Group was founded by the Trump Organization as well as the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization. They also launched Trump SoHo in New York City.

Design experts take over Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo's 46 stories featured top bars and restaurants along with banquet and event rooms, pools that are open to the air and event halls, spa departments, apartments and hotel suites.

Visitors and residents of Trump SoHo can enjoy a stunning panorama of New York City from the windows from floor-to-roof on every floor.

Handel Architects was entrusted as the exterior designer of Trump SoHo, since the three main companies behind the building were focused primarily on the highest quality.

Handel Architects is a respected firm with a diverse portfolio. Some of the other initiatives are the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Abu Dhabi's Rosewood hotel residence.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo's interiors. Rockwell Group has oversaw the design of many extravagant cafes and hotels across the world.

Their work includes their work at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in Mumbai, India, the 93rd Academy Award show and the Amara Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.

Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization expand the partnership
Trump SoHo was an instant success. Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and several other companies began looking at ways to strengthen their cooperation.

The goal was to construct structures that resembled Trump SoHo in Arizona or Florida in the same manner, and on similar conditions to those of Trump SoHo. In exchange to the Trump Organization would receive 18% equity in this structure, in exchange for using the Trump brand. Another opportunity.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization had everything in the right place. But the 2008 financial crisis that severely shook America's real estate market put an end to their plans.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock The American housing market was affected by the economic crisis. Tevfik, Bayrock Group founder, chose to end his American-based business ventures. He made the decision to move to Europe, Asia and where he started his career over a decade years ago.

While Tevfik Arif is no longer part of Bayrock Group, he is still a trusted advisor for different divisions within Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group was not involved in any recent real estate projects in the United States.
