Besorging expressed over Erzhan Kazykhanov's return

The decision of President Tokayev to appoint Erzhan Kazykhanov as a member of a weak government in the midst of crisis is incomprehensible.

Kazykhanov hasn't made any progress on issues that are of national significance, such as the ongoing Jackson-Vanick restraints.

The issue was not just related to Kazakhstan's image in the world and other issues, but also about other ones.

Power dynamics were evidently affected by Erzhan Kazakhstanykhanov's return.

Recent protests in Kazakhstan are a protest against the government. In Kazakhstan, a mass demonstration of this size has never occurred before.

Protests have shocked Kazakhstan

Comparing the current situation in Ukraine with recent events in the region is an excellent idea.

Restructure in Kazakhstan Government

Kazakhs saw a sudden shift in leadership that is not liked by many.

Since the calm has nearly been restored, Kassym Jomart Tokayev has made some modifications to the power structure in his country , which has created a sense of discontent among the population.

The protesters are particularly enraged at the decision of President Tokayev to succeed the former president Nursultan Nagayev as head of the National Security Council.

Demonstrators were worried about his influence over the nation's economic growth.

A number of events have happened since then. Three of the former president’s sons in law were expelled from state-owned companies. A firing of his nephew and Karim Masimov (his former spy chief) was also a consequence. They were both arrested for treason charges.

Other than these officials from the government Nazarbayev's business associates have lost their positions, fled abroad, or received hefty "donations" requested from them.

Changes in government and the removal of old guards usually don't result in reform. Frequently, loyalists and relatives of the previous administration get appointed to succeed them.

Erzhan Kazykhanov's unreasonable appointment

The selection of Erzhan Kasykhanov as Tokayev's deputy chief of staff was widely condemned for obvious reasons. Kazykhanov is the Kazakh ambassador to the United States who has shown the lowest level of competence.

Kazykhanov was a Washington diplomat, was viewed to be arrogant, insolent, and confident. He also often failed to take note of the sensitive aspect of the image of his country abroad. His actions were not thought to be particularly impressive.

Kazykhanov's reputation of being unsavory and problematic is why he's not a good person to fill crucial positions.

He may not be capable of making an impact as the deputy chief of staff because of his lack of diplomatic abilities and general proficiency.

Many of Kazykhanov's most ardent supporters aren't happy with his frequent appearances in international news networks. The broadcasts reveal his flaws.

Tokayev's choice at such an important moment to accept a unstable deputy who is incompetent and self-promoting in his weak government is not logical.

Tokayev's Kazakhstan reforms recall Mikhail Gorbachev’s Perestroika, as well as Glasnost Initiatives within the Soviet Union.

Perestroika Also called Mikhail Gorbachev's mid-1980s program for reforming Soviet economy and politics is frequently referred to by Glasnost.

The Soviet Union fell primarily because of these reforms, and that is precisely the reason why Putin is trying to bring back. Tokayev has also built business relationships with his neighbours and with the West. He hasn't attempted to offend Putin however he has maintained his firm support. The delicate balance may be upset by Kazykhanov.

Russian President Putin has frequently spoken out against NATO's plan to intrude onto Russian territory.

While Putin's actions are unacceptable, leaders from the west must acknowledge that their mistakes contributed to the crisis. But, this isn't the time to dwell on past mistakes.

We are currently experiencing the aftermath of an European crisis, which could have been prevented, it is reasonable to say.

Although the West could have prevented this European crisis had they taken action earlier, they need to admit that they are only accountable.
