How do you keep boredom at bay while working long hours as a night security guard at an underground facility

These are tough times. This new world of gig economy is one that I am finding hard to navigate like I used to before. I used to do well before the pandemic. However, my main task as a dental assistant not that difficult. That's why I took on a night-time security officer position at the local machine plant. Most of it is controlled by computers. There are employees at all times however, there are only me and 2 engineers on night shifts. I have an emergency number to dial in the event of an accident, or when machinery ceases to function. I call engineers and/or dial the outside number for more engineers. I don't do much. They aren't even producing anything in this area, therefore night guard is just a glorified switchboard attendant.

It's something I enjoy. It's peaceful, I have difficulty sleeping at night due to too much gas release however here it's not a problem. It's a bit boring at night and I am constantly trying new things to make my speed of time pass faster. I've spent the last two weeks perfecting a dance that I observed on Tik Tok. It's easy, but it's hard for me to duplicate the dance. The dance was developed by a young girl on Tik Tok. I don't know what to refer to this stuff as. I am too old.

Recently, I've been playing with various videos for fixing cars. Although I don't know what to do with my car right away, I enjoy watching others make their cars seem invincible. you tube video download DIY videos are often very informative and easy to follow. So I began to run into another problem. Internet wouldn't work on my phone at some point. I was unable to access any videos or other activity because, as we know, the internet is necessary to everything. I found out how to download Youtube videos onto my mobile. And, when the internet was off for hours, I could effortlessly watch the DIY videos on my smartphone. It doesn't matter if stream it on a site or another online. It's also possible to download it in your home and then view it on your mobile even if you don't have internet or another online connection. It's easy to set up DVR for your online video, and not just TV shows.

Talking of TV, I learned how easy it is to download the latest episodes, and even movies, to my computer. I started bringing my laptop into work due to its larger screen and better speakers, which makes it nicer to watch TV shows there. There are a variety of informative or just interesting material I can find at home and take along with me on my work trips to make my time fly by quicker. I really love Youtube's webinars on different self-improvement techniques However, it's difficult to watch a 1 hour video that gets interrupted several times, and still keep up with what they're trying to deliver. That's what I'm talking about. You'll get the picture.


Sometimes, I take my son to work with me. This is due to the fact that my wife works a night shift, which makes it difficult for us both to be home with our child. So I accompany him and put him on the screens of my computer and he goes to sleep quickly. I wake him and provide him with my computer with a few songs. He is so happy to be able to watch the videos. It is how we all work together better by doing our own thing. He seems to enjoy coming along with me. Maybe because he stays up all night. Aren't kids what they often desire?
